STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

A new and exciting opportunity has opened up at Markplan Consulting in Albany on the North Shore for a newly Chartered CP Eng, or close to, structural design
engineer.

If you are a great multi-tasker capable of working on a wide range of projects in the residential and commercial sectors, and enjoy liaising with Clients on a day to day basis, then this position is for you.

You must have New Zealand experience in all building materials, matched with relevant experience in the residential and commercial sectors.

You’ll have a good working knowledge of NZ Design Codes and be proficient in engineering design software such as Excel, Microstran and SAP 2000. You’ll also be confident supervising on site and in-house, mentoring more junior team members, able to review the work of others, have a meticulous attention to detail as well as a good working knowledge of local body guidelines and polices. Great communication, report writing skills and Client focus are imperative.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, a thinker, have a keen work ethic and be able to work independently. You will be a dynamic, proactive individual, driven to achieve innovative engineering solutions and provide exceptional service to our Clients.
