Inside this concrete encasement is one of the North Shores largest trunk sewers threatened by erosion caused by wave action.
The consequences of failure are obvious and needed immediate remedial work after storm damage.

After completion of the remedial works, the existing sewer was encased in a new concrete wave energy dissipation structure which was formed using sprayed concrete to match the cliff immediately behind the sewer.
