We currently have an opportunity for a BE qualified (NZ) Structural Engineer with three years' plus post-grad New Zealand experience in all building materials, with an emphasis on residential and commercial design, to join our team. An interest in Civil engineering would be an advantage in this role.


If you are a great multi-tasker, capable of working on a wide range of projects in the residential and commercial sectors, and enjoy liaising with Clients on a day-to-day basis, then this position is for you.

Proficiency in engineering design software such as Microstran and ETABS, confidence in observing work you have designed being constructed on site, mentoring more junior team members (where appropriate), an ability to review the work of others, meticulous attention to detail as well as a good working knowledge of local body guidelines and policies, excellent communication, report writing skills and a positive Client focus are imperative to succeed in this role.

If you are the Practice Manager we are looking for you’ll be a friendly, enthusiastic, super organised person with a positive can-do attitude and keen eye for detail, who is reliable with a strong work ethic. You will be focussed on quality and teamwork and see yourself as the “glue” of the Practice. You will have a great attitude, integrity, confidentiality and professional pride and an excellent phone manner with good verbal communication.

Experience/ knowledge of Payroll (MYOB) and employment law is an advantage for this role.

You will be leading, and part of, the highly competent Admin team, who provide essential financial and administrative support to the Engineering and Management teams. This role reports to the Directors who will provide training and mentoring.

The role includes:
Support for frontline reception
Administrative tasks associated with projects
General office management, including IT co-ordination
Maintenance of systems and training of procedures
Accounts payable (MYOB Account Right)
Accounts receivable (custom business management program)
Monthly KPI reporting
Monthly financial reporting for Senior Management and Accountant
Budget preparation
Cashflow forecasting and planning
GST/FBT filing
Capex and Asset register maintenance
Human Resources co-ordination
Health and Safety
Strategic operational meetings

Advanced computer skills using the MS Office 2016, including Excel and Outlook, are required. Sound financial, leadership and business acumen skills are essential to succeed in this role.
